Register Your Boat

ALL vessels must be pre-registered and carry the FLOTILLA VESSEL ID NUMBER assigned to them on Friday, Nov. 28th at the Captains’ Meeting to be held at 59 Causeway at 6PM.

•   All vessels must meet USCG regulations.
•   CAPTAINS AND CREW are responsible for their own behavior.
•   The parade will be held, rain or shine.PARADE PROCEDURE

1. The staging area for parade participants is the intracoastal Waterway, one mile east of the Shallotte River at the log cabin at Windy Point. All captains, please monitor VHF channel 12 for communication and information.
2. The parade lineup will begin at 4:30 and will be led by SEA TOW. Participants should be prepared to begin the parade at 5:30 sharp
   .
3. PLEASE DO NOT TURN ON DECORATIVE LIGHTING ON UNTIL THE PARADE BEGINS.
4. Please travel at no wake speed and keep within 200 feet of the boat in front of you. Spacing is very important so please make every effort to stay up with the boat in front of you.
5. The parade route will proceed to the west, following the Intracoastal Waterway, turning left into Ocean Isle Beach Commercial Canal. Just before entering the canal, captains are to slow down and wait for the Committee Boat to signal you when it is your turn to enter the canal. Proceed past the OIB Fishing Center, Sharky’s, 59 Causeway, and Sheffield’s and loop to the left, returning towards Sharky’s. This is to allow time for judging. Participants are welcome to dock/raft up at available space between Sheffield’s and the OIB Fishing Center for the Awards Ceremony. No stopping or docking until after the LAST BOAT has cleared the judging area.
6. Judges will be viewing contestants from the back porch of Sharky’s. Please be sure that the registration number is HIGHLY VISIBLE and that you proceed as slowly as possible when passing judges.
7. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE AN UNDECORATED COMMITTEE BOAT WITH AN AMERICAN FLAG. FLOTILLA COMMITTEE MEMBER WILL BE ON BOARD TO ADVISE CAPTAINS ON ANY CHANGES, OR TO ASSIST WITH PROBLEMS. PLEASE USE VHF CHANNEL 12 OR A PHONE NUMBER THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE AT THE CAPTAINS’ MEETING FOR HELP.
